TOTAL ESCAPE: HOLISTIC HOLIDAYS

Staying at the family run Rose Apart Hotel in the unspoilt Turkish town of Koycegiz, only half an hour from Dalaman, overlooking a beautiful lake. You will share a comfortable self contained apartment with lounge, bedroom, and ensuite bathroom. The hotel has its own restaurant and swimming pool. The area is renowned for the beautiful lake, with clear water and invigorating fresh air.

Taking a weeks holiday is a great way to boost your yoga practice and you will be completely pampered by your holistic therapist. The emphasis is on gentle yoga, suitable for beginners. Each day begins with breathing and a yoga class on the roof terrace overlooking the lake and mountains, followed by relaxation and then we have brunch around the swimming pool. You are then free to explore the area, relax, and have your treatments with Anna. We meet again in the evening to share time together before going for dinner.

Several optional trips are organised for the group including a gentle mountain walk to a stunning watefall, an evening trip under the stars to Sultaniye thermal spas and hiring a Gulet to sail across the lake for a day. 

Julie is joined by Anna Cox, a very experienced complementary therapist at the Rose Apart hotel. During the week you can choose two holistic treatments  which are included in the cost of your holiday.   Choose from g aromatherapy, Indian head massage, reflexology, Hopi candle therapy , natural facial and reiki. Anna will also share her love of Belly dancing with us when we have a Turkish evening and learn the basics of a good shimmy!

£475 for shared room  £545 for own room, including accommodation and brunch, yoga, relaxation, therapy treatments, group transfers from Dalaman airport, but excluding flight from UK. We aim to get the direct flights to Dalaman withThomas Cook departing around midday on Sunday and return on the Thomas Cook flight around 7pm on the following Sunday evening. Morocco Yoga Retreat in association with Authentic Morocco the Moroccan holiday specialists   15th - 22nd May 2010

A new venue for 2010! Yoga students love coming on their Total Escape Holistic Holidays but are seeking new venues and this is something really special. The holiday, which starts and ends with a night in the bustling city of Marrakech, includes 5 nights in Skoura Palmerie where you have the chance to deepen your yoga practice in the peace and calm of the hotel set in 28 acres of flower gardens and olive trees. The Palmerie, 40km from Ouarzazate, is served by two seasonal rivers and within the oasis are date, olive, almond, apple, apricot, fig and pomegranate trees in addition to several kasbahs including the 17th century Kasbah Amerdril.

During the week we will develop our knowledge of the Chakras, the body’s energetic system, and experience it through postures, visualisations, sound work and workshops.  Our days in the Palmerie begin with a 2 hour yoga session focusing on a specific chakra including breathing, meditation, postures and relaxation. During the day, after a tasty brunch, there is the opportunity to read, relax by the pool, laze around in a hammock or nap in a Berber tent. Included in the price is an organised guided walk with picnic lunch, and on another day the on-site Hammam is open, free of charge, so that we can experience a Moroccan steam room. We meet again later in the day for an evening activity following the Chakra theme and this could include chanting, partner yoga, energy work, deep relaxation or discussion on subjects which are of interest to the group to enable you to deepen your knowledge.

Julie will lead you in this a practical, interactive workshop where you will experience techniques to reduce stress and learn to still your mind. This will enalble you to lead a more relaxed, healthy and fulfilling life by being 'in the present moment'. We will use meditations, breath awareness, movement and mantra.

Julie will be joined by Sarah Thomas experienced yoga and meditation teacher to bring you a day of yoga focusing on understanding the Chakras and your personal energy. Through postures, sound and visualisations you will experience how the Chakra System can influence your wellbeing and health

In the morning we will be looking at energy and practising postures which work thorough the various chakras. In the afternoon we will stimulate the Chakras through sound and partner yoga as well as gaining an understanding of our own personal energy field.
